A refined French accent table in gilt wrought iron with a rectangular white marble top, executed in the Louis XVI manner by one of the great Parisian decorating ateliers of the early 20th century. The gilt iron frame features slender tapered legs with beaded or reeded detailing, joined by a low stretcher — the restrained neoclassical vocabulary of Louis XVI translated into metal with characteristic Parisian elegance.
The white marble top is cool and clean, its generous proportions making this table equally suited as a console, a sofa table, or a narrow accent piece in an entry hall or salon. The gilt finish has developed a warm, slightly varied patina consistent with age, giving the iron the depth and richness of ormolu. A piece of quiet luxury and impeccable Parisian pedigree.
